The results are in on PPB’s 2019 Greatest Companies To Work For program, and this year’s top 60 companies earning the best scores in the competition represent a diverse group of distributors, suppliers and business services firms from across the U.S. and Canada—from micro businesses with nine or fewer team members to companies with hundreds of employees in multiple locations.
“This is always a very popular program—and one of the most competitive,” says PPB Editor Tina Berres Filipski. “It’s tough to make it into that top 60 list. Inclusion there means the company is creating a workplace where employees are, in general, really happy to work there.”
Nominations opened for the program in early February with 117 companies nominated by the deadline, and the competition wrapped up on March 29—the deadline for employee responses to a 15-question online survey. All full-time employees were asked to rate their company in five areas that explored benefits, resources, culture, leadership and company direction. To qualify at this step, every company was required to meet a percentage of completed surveys. The results were then tabulated to reveal the top 60 companies based on scores. All participating companies were notified on Friday, April 12. Those noted with asterisks in the list below are returning winners that were named to the coveted list in 2018.
